The city deserves more than just a day of your life, but sometimes, that’s all you have to give. If so, make the most of it with our Must See list.
On this day trip, I visited The Museum of Southern Art. I was in town on a Who ‘Dat NFL Sunday when the Saints won. The costumes were crazy. Who dresses up for a football game? Apparently, New Orleans Saints fans. Needless to say, my walk through the city from the Grand Hyatt to the art museum was full of the unique sites in the city.
The Ogden Museum of Southern Art is in a great part of town, with several different art-lover options. If you don’t find the Southern Art interesting, check out one of these other options:

As a regular reader, you also know that part of my art museum ritual includes find a unique place to have a relaxing glass of wine after taking in a new city’s beautiful art. Here are some of our collective favorite places in the city for wine, food and foodie paradise.
Art, food and architecture all make New Orleans an American treasure. On my stroll through the city, I stumbled upon a beautiful church, Old St Patrick’s Church. The interior had beautiful stained glass, an imposing alter, and expertly carved woodwork. The exterior jets up to the sky, dwarfing the buildings around it.
On a previous trip, I visited St. Louis Cathedral near Jackson Square. Keeping with my football theme, I happened to be in town when Jackson Square was turned into the Broadcast hub for the Superbowl XLVII . Here’s hoping you can stroll that beautiful garden without being blinded by the lights and noise of the NFL.
